Fell in love with Budapest’s stunning architecture? Interested in its hidden treasures, seeing beautiful staircases, inner courtyards and stained glass windows?
If you happen to be an English-speaking fan of this city and would like to join a tour in English that covers some of the most precious buildings of Budapest’s Art Nouveau heritage, you are more than welcome to join one of our tours.
The two of us run the tours: Judit Furi, a glass artist and glass restorer. She has been working on the restoration of most of Budapest’s art nouveau and late 19th-century glass heritage, as well as many windows around the country and region.
I have been a tour guide for over 30 years, mainly working in English at home and escorting groups all around Europe.
Join us on a leisurely walk alongside the street packed with antiquities and art galleries. This short and quiet street is lined with trees and some of the most elegant art nouveau luxury apartment houses of their time. These houses open up their doors and reveal their amazing interiors, otherwise closed away from public eyes. The houses tell their stories and the fragile witnesses of the past 120 years will be introduced to us through the eyes of an expert.
The meeting is at the junction of Falk Miksa utca and the Szent István körút (St. Stephen blv). The walk ends at the Parliament, and a refreshment is included in the ticket price. We walk on a flat surface but will need to climb some stairs. The tour lasts approx. 2,5 hours.
